“Authenticity with a beat and a hook”

Original Pop-Rock in San Diego

Bio

Steve Skiano creates music that is equal parts thoughtful, uplifting, and fun. Blending memorable hooks with danceable beats and authentic storytelling, the San Diego singer-songwriter crafts songs that connect with audiences through humor, hope, resilience, and shared human experiences.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars, as well as a lifetime of service as an Air Force Pararescueman, police officer, and psychiatric physician assistant, Steve brings a unique perspective to his songwriting. His songs explore everything from love and adventure to grief, growth, and self-discovery, always with an emphasis on connection, optimism, and the joy found in everyday life.

After decades of performing cover music, Steve challenged himself to write and record one original song every week for an entire year. What began as a creative exercise became a transformative experience, helping him discover his own artistic voice and launching a new chapter as a dedicated songwriter.

Whether performing intimate acoustic sets or sharing the stage with The Tan Lines, Steve delivers an engaging live experience built on positive energy, genuine storytelling, and songs that leave audiences moving and smiling. His performances invite listeners to laugh, reflect, sing along, dance, and connect through the shared experiences that make us human.

As he continues to build momentum through live performances, media appearances, and new releases, Steve is establishing himself as one of San Diego's emerging singer-songwriters—an artist whose music reminds us that even life's most challenging moments can be met with hope, humor, and a great chorus.
